Carrier Procurement

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Carrier Procurement to join our freight brokerage team. This role is responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and maintaining relationships with reliable carriers to ensure capacity coverage and competitive rates across our network.

The ideal candidate understands market dynamics, negotiates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Source and secure capacity

Negotiate competitive rates with carriers while maintaining profit margins

Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers nationwide

Post loads on load boards and proactively contact carriers

Ensure carriers meet company and customer compliance standards

Track market trends, capacity fluctuations, and seasonal pricing

Collaborate with Sales and Operations to ensure successful load execution

Monitor carrier performance and service reliability

Maintain accurate carrier records in TMS and internal systems

Qualifications

1–3+ years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or logistics

Strong knowledge of FTL/LTL freight operations

Experience using load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.)

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment

Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency

Proficiency in TMS and Microsoft Office
